China has decided, in the midst of a stock market selloff, to punish those who sell short and view them as enemies of the state.
Sure this could be viewed as a sign of strength and government power that develop short term benefits, but what of the longer term?
Does capital like flowing to those areas where new rules can be applied at a moment’s notice? Not hardly, just ask Russia.
Sometimes these supposed signs of strength are more likely signs of weakness and fear (maybe even panic).
When you make leadership decisions be certain that you give yourself time to think especially during times of crisis.
Your actions will echo in the ears of those around you for a lot longer than you might think.
